According to police, Usman Tijani, a 200-level undergraduate at Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara in Kogi State, was viciously attacked and wounded by his friend, Abdulmuqeet Musari.
“The suspect has been in our custody, and investigation is ongoing,” stated SP Williams Aya, the spokesperson for the state command, who confirmed the incident and the suspect’s detention by the command to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lokoja yesterday.
“After the investigation is finished, he will be arraigned.” The event happened at approximately 8 p.m. on December 23 in the vicinity of Adavi Burial Ground, New Zango in Adavi, according to a statement made by Mr. Bashiru Okatenwu, Chairman of the Adavi Local Government Area (LGA).
Suleiman Acheneje, Okatenwu’s media assistant in Adavi, told NAN that the victim is a 200-level student in the CUSTECH Department of Cyber Security.
An unexpected incident occurred at Adavi Burial Ground on December 23, namely between 7 and 8 p.m., when a little boy named Usman Tijani was attacked by one of the nasty eggs that still exist in our society.
“Abdulmuqeet Musari viciously wounded Usman with the unquestionable intention of killing him.”Around two in the morning, the victim was discovered in New Zango, Adavi LGA, almost dead, and saved. He was taken right away to Lokoja, where he has been receiving medical care.
Okatenwu praised the people’s governor, the chairman of Adavi, and their security intelligence for catching the criminal in Ekiti, even though he was already on the run.
Zainab Avosuahu, a victim’s relative, made a statement on the matter on Tuesday via her Meta (Facebook) page, claiming that the suspect had enticed her nephew into the bush, taken N200,000 from him, and then cut his throat.
