NSCDC Prevents A Fire Catastrophe Of The Tanker Accident In Kaduna

A statement signed by NSCDC spokesperson Babawale Afolabi on Saturday stated that the emergency response team was led by Deputy Commandant General of Operations Philip Ayuba, who emphasized the Corps’ commitment to disaster prevention and public safety.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps responded quickly to a petroleum tanker accident at Guaraka along Kaduna Road, deploying tactical teams to prevent a potential fire disaster and control the situation.

Ayuba noted that the NSCDC acted on intelligence received about the fallen tanker, promptly dispatching teams to manage the situation.

The Corps also collaborated with the Federal Road Safety Commission to regulate traffic flow and ensure crowd control.

Officials confirmed that the situation was brought under control, preventing any further damage or escalation.

When we received information about a tanker carrying Petroleum Motor Spirit that had unintentionally fallen off the road at Guaraka along Kaduna Road, we immediately sent out our tactical operational and disaster team to encircle the area and stop criminals from stealing fuel.

In order to prevent needless traffic jams and maintain crowd control and environmental security, we also worked with the Federal Road Safety Commission personnel.

According to a remark from Ayuba, “We want to affirm that the situation is currently under control as our emergency team is fully on the ground, this action has helped to prevent further damages or incidents beyond control.”

However, the NSCDC reminded the public that there was sufficient security and safety throughout the area, pointing out that a high degree of vigilance.
