Friday evening, on January 31, a plane crashed in a neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia, damaging a row of homes and igniting them.

Social media users shared footage of the tragedy, which included smoke and flames rising into the night sky.

Despite the fire being fierce and visible from a mile, firefighters arrived on the scene promptly.

According to police, two passengers were on board the plane, and CBS News says that there were additional injuries reported on the ground.

The collision occurred shortly after 6 p.m. at Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard.

According to local media, the plane caused a path of devastation after striking a number of nearby buildings and vehicles.

Two days have passed since this week’s fatal airborne accident.

Late on Wednesday night, 67 persons were killed in a crash at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport near Washington, D.C., between an Army helicopter and an American Airlines passenger flight.
