Makinde establishes a relief disbursement committee following the Bodija explosion.

The committee for the administration and distribution of the Bodija explosion relief fund was established by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.
The governor gave the committee members the task of making sure that they fulfilled their obligations to the people impacted by the disaster in a transparent manner.


The 10-member committee’s responsibility, according to Governor Makinde, who officially opened it on Tuesday, is to supervise the administration and distribution of the relief fund to individuals who lost property due to the explosion.

Chief Iyiola Oladokun, a former deputy governor of Oyo State and chairman of the Dejo Oyelese Vigilante Group, Pastor Muyiwa Bamgbose, chairman of the Bodija Estate Residents Association, Alhaji Gafar Bello, executive assistant on finance, budget, and planning, Mrs. Ojuolape Busari, secretary of the Oyo State Emergency Management Agency, and Barr. Abdulraheem Bayo Lawal, the deputy governor of Oyo State, serve on the committee.

Other nominees include Mr. Ibrahim Lawal of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr. Oluseye Ojo of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Engr. Ibrahim Bello of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Mrs. Arinola Olanipekun of the Dejo Oyelese Vigilante Group, and Mr. David Afolayan of the Bodija Estate Residents Association.

The following people attended the inauguration: former Oyo State deputy governor Engr. Hamid Gbadamosi; former Oyo State governor Chief Mrs. Mutiat Ladoja’s wife; former Speaker of the House of Assembly Senator Monsurat Sumonu; Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, the governor’s chief of staff; Mrs. Olubunmi Oni, the head of service; Commissioners; and Chief Bayo Lawal, the governor’s senior executive assistant on general duties.

Other dignitaries were Hon. Sikiru Sanda, the chairman of Oyo State’s local government chairmen, Chief Wole Oyelese, Oyo State PDP Secretary Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, and CP Fatai Owoseni (rtd), the governor’s special adviser on security.
