After Tottenham’s 2-1 loss to Leicester City, captain Heung-min Son reflected on the game.
Son expresses his dissatisfaction with the team’s performance and the unfortunate outcome.
Son discussed Spurs’ shocking Premier League collapse and the problems they face. He said: “It’s quite uncomfortable. What shall I say? Especially when you win at halftime but concede two goals in a short amount of time. It failed to meet our expectations and made for a disappointing afternoon.
“We can’t just claim weary because we just got out of the second half. Maybe it was a little sloppy, but there are no specific flaws; everything just combines together. It’s simply a lack of concentration and sloppiness, and any club in the Premier League can punish us.”
“It was not good enough, and at times we made the wrong judgment in the final moment. It is very disappointing not to get three points and to concede goals like this.”
“We aim to keep all outside noise out of the squad and group. We simply aim to earn as many points as possible. There are still many games to play; we want to see returning and experienced players, which will be extremely beneficial. We simply need to focus on each game and training session.”
