Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, who plays for Galatasaray now, is involved in a scandal when he allegedly got into a fight with a journalist.

The prolific forward reportedly attacked a journalist outside an Istanbul nightclub, according to report from Turkish media site Posta.

According to reports, Osimhen and his pals were leaving the venue when the violence started.

The striker, who appeared irritated by the reporter’s presence, reacted violently, which worsened the situation.

The altercation was described by Tolga Bozduman, the journalist who is at the heart of the accusation.

“I was filming Osimhen as he exited, accompanied by three colleagues. When the camera flashes stopped, he became furious. He rushed towards me, shouting, and attempted to grab my camera. When I refused to let go, he punched me. It still hurts. Then he started swearing and said, ‘Destroy the photos, I’ll give you money.’ I refused, and he threatened me, saying, ‘I’ll destroy you.’”

Regarding the incident, neither Galatasaray nor Osimhen have issued an official statement.

With 15 goals and six assists so far this season, Osimhen has been outstanding for Galatasaray, the Turkish powerhouse.
