There are allegations that a police officer in Ondo state is being profiled and is to be arrested for allegedly sexually harassing his daughter since she was ten years old.
Yemi Fasipe, an activist who shared the story online, stated that the victim, who is currently 23 years old, contacted him to report the alleged incident.
The victim disclosed that her mother is cognisant of the incident but wishes to overlook it in order to safeguard her husband, he stated.
The state Commissioner of Police has intervened in the matter, and the accused officer is currently being profiled for immediate arrest, according to Fasipe.
Yemi Fasipe wrote, “A year old girl reached out to me and said her biological father, a Nigerian Police Officer, has been sexually abusing her since she was 10. He would always beat her whenever she tried to resist him. She also said he physically assaults her mother. Now, she feels she is old enough to fight for herself and her mother and wants justice.
“I told her to inform her mother and make her understand that the man could lose his job or even go to jail if I take up the matter, and asked if she was ready for that.
“As expected, the mother wants to protect the man, even after knowing that he has been sleeping with their daughter. Pathetic! I will post the video the girl sent to me by 2pm today, regardless.
“The Commissioner, Ondo Police has officially taken up this case, and the accused officer is currently being profiled for immediate arrest.
“I sincerely hope the young girl who has endured such horrific abuse for years will finally receive the justice she so desperately deserves.”
