Nigeria’s national basketball team, D’Tigers, has been drawn into Group B of the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket, where they will compete against Tunisia, Madagascar, and Cameroon.

The tournament, scheduled for August 12-24, will be hosted in Angola’s capital, Luanda, and the southern city of Namibe.
D’Tigers, who clinched their sole AfroBasket title in 2015 and have earned four silver and three bronze medals historically, aim to reclaim glory.
Meanwhile, hosts Angola headline Group C alongside South Sudan, Guinea, and Libya.
Group A consists of Côte d’Ivoire, DR Congo, Cape Verde, and Rwanda, while Group D will feature intense rivalries among Senegal, Mali, Egypt, and Uganda.

The group phase will run from August 12-17, with Namibe hosting group stage matches and Luanda hosting both group and final phase games. The final phase in Luanda, from August 17-24, will determine the 2025 AfroBasket champion.
