Hon. Sanya Okunade, chairman of the Olojudo Coronation Central Planning Committee, made this disclosure during a press conference where he outlined the activities for the upcoming coronation of Oba Olayinka Oyetunde Jokotola, the 47th Olojudo of Ido Osun.

Expressing optimism about the project’s imminent restart, Okunade assured that nothing would hinder the resumption of work, thanks to the timely intervention of the federal government regarding the Osun State government’s plans for the airport.

In addition to the airport update, Okunade revealed details about the coronation ceremony for Oba Jokotola, scheduled to take place over four days, with the grand finale set for Saturday, May 24, 2025.

Prominent dignitaries, including Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, the Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and Inspector General of Police Olukayode Egbetokun, are expected to attend this significant event, underscoring its importance in the state’s cultural and social calendar.

The coronation of Oba Olayinka Oyetunde Jokotola as the 47th Olojudo of Ido Osun is more than just a celebratory event; it represents a significant cultural milestone, according to Sanya Okunade.

During the ceremonies, honorary chieftaincy titles will be conferred upon distinguished personalities in recognition of their contributions and commitment to the community.
