According to Alhaji Muniru Raji, Governor Ademola Adeleke’s Special Advisor on Political Affairs, the time has not yet come for an Osogbo candidate to run for governor.

In the place of birth, he also urged potential candidates to hold off on expressing their desires until 2030.In a widely shared video, Raji, a town Muslim leader, called on the community to support his boss, Governor Adeleke, for a second term in office.

The video was taken during an event organized by Osogbo indigenous people to foster togetherness in the town.

“Let us wait for five years before agitating for the governorship seat. Osogbo’s political stakeholders must be wary of internal disunity, it could jeopardise the chances of an Osogbo indigene becoming the governor of Osun State in the year 2030.”

In order to achieve Osogbo’s political goals, he underlined the necessity of cooperation and teamwork rather than the self-serving objectives of individuals.

“Osogbo has the potential to lead Osun State, but disunity among our people remains a significant barrier. Without a united front, achieving the dream of producing a governor from Osogbo will be nearly impossible,” he said.

In order to accomplish their common objectives, he urged Osogbo’s youth organizations, traditional leaders, and political players to promote harmony and cooperate.
