Nigerian winger Moses Simon is attracting interest from Everton ahead of the summer transfer window, with reports indicating the Premier League club have stepped up their pursuit of the 29-year-old. According to Africafoot, Everton have already sent scouts to observe Simon at FC Nantes in recent weeks, with the Super Eagles forward now among their priority targets.
The Toffees are currently 13th in the Premier League and are planning a rebuild, which makes them eye Moses as a valuable addition to their attacking options. The Jos-born forward has 72 caps and 9 goals for Nigeria and has had a strong 2024/25 season with Nantes, registering 7 goals and 9 assists in 27 appearances across all competitions.
“Everton scouts have reportedly visited Stade de la Beaujoire in recent weeks to monitor the 29-year-old forward, currently playing for Nantes,” the website wrote. The player is reportedly open to a new challenge and has instructed his agent to facilitate a move to England, with Nantes not expected to stand in his way.
However, the French side would demand at least €15m to sanction the transfer, even though his current market value is €12m. “Nantes are not opposed to parting ways with the Super Eagle, but will only consider offers of at least €15 million.”
With his contract running until June 2026, Simon’s potential move to Everton would be a significant coup for the Toffees. Having joined Nantes from Levante in 2020 for €6.5m, Simon’s value has clearly increased, and Everton’s interest in him is a testament to his growing reputation as a top-class winger. If the transfer goes through, it would be an exciting development for both Simon and Everton.
