Osimhen Tipped to Transform Manchester United

Former Manchester United players Louis Saha and Owen Hargreaves believe Victor Osimhen would be a transformational signing for the club if they can land him in the summer transfer window. United have struggled to find consistency upfront this season, despite spending £100m on Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee last summer. Both strikers have managed just 15 goals between them, leading to renewed calls for another striker to be signed.

Saha thinks Osimhen would be the perfect fit for Manchester United, citing his character, quality, and European pedigree. “I really like Victor Osimhen. He’s definitely got the character, he’s got the quality. He’s also got a good European pedigree: he was a success in France, he was a champion in Italy with Napoli and he’s gone to Turkey with Galatasaray and been brilliant, a move that he probably didn’t want, let’s be honest,” Saha told Mega Dice.

Saha believes Osimhen’s experience and leadership would be invaluable to the team. “I think he would be a transformational signing for Manchester United. If you think about the pressure that he was under at Napoli, firing the club to its first title in 33 years, then he’s the perfect man to lead the line for Manchester United. I think he would have a huge impact at United.”

Hargreaves also thinks Osimhen would be a game-changer for Manchester United. He named the Nigerian striker among three signings who would change United’s fortunes next season, along with Matheus Cunha and Ederson. “If you added Victor Osimhen, Matheus Cunha, and Ederson from Atalanta, Man United would be different next season,” Hargreaves told Rio Ferdinand Presents.

Osimhen’s impressive form this season, scoring 30 goals for Galatasaray, has caught the attention of several top clubs. The 26-year-old is reportedly keen on a move to Old Trafford, and Saha and Hargreaves believe he would be a perfect fit for Manchester United. With his Champions League experience, goal-scoring ability, and charismatic personality, Osimhen could be the signing that transforms Manchester United’s fortunes next season.
