“In competition, when you have an advantage, you take it. This is the enigma of a champion, this is what a champion does, and that is exactly what we have done today,” Ogunmodede said, his words resonating with pride in the locker room as his team clinched an important three points. “It’s not good for football, playing without spectators,” Ogunmodede said. “Nonetheless, we took advantage of it. It’s a very tight ground. One of the biggest grounds Remo Stars will ever come to, and sometimes, it can cause a bit of tremor. But today, it was a different ball game. It was about tactics and mentality. We knew what was at stake, we took the advantage, and we got our maximum three points.”
