Ondo LG Polls: Aiyedatiwa Casts Votes, Claims Autonomy Will Strengthen Grassroots Development

On Saturday, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the governor of Ondo State, cast his ballot in the state’s ongoing local government elections, characterizing the process as a step toward strengthening grassroots development.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to ensuring the state’s local government system operates efficiently and in accordance with the law.

Governor Aiyedatiwa praised the voting process while casting his ballot at Polling Unit 5, Ugbo Ward 4, in the State’s Ilaje local government area.

The governor thanked the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC) for the smooth running of the polls in an interview with reporters following his vote.

Additionally, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to the State’s citizens for casting ballots.

Additionally, at approximately 9.45 a.m., Dr. Olayide Adelami, the deputy governor of the state, cast his ballot at Igbooroko Unit 16, Ward 3 in the Owo local government area.

In order to replicate the remarkable success seen in the previous governorship election, the deputy governor, who was delighted with the turnout, pushed the populace to cast their ballots in large numbers.

According to Dr. Adelami, the administration of local governments is essential to democracy and good governance, which is why the public must actively engage in the process.

He was pleased with the number of people who showed up at his voting station.
