Blood Flowing Like Water But Our Leaders Silent~ Pastor Enenche.

Enenche Paul the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has voiced his grave concern regarding the relentless killings in various regions of Nigeria amidst the silence from those in power.

During a Special Service at the Glory Dome in Abuja, the cleric posed the question of why blood continues to flow so freely in Nigeria without substantial action from authorities.

He revealed that just before the service, he received a troubling call from a villager pastor in one of the affected communities, who described how entire families had been annihilated and children killed in their sleep.

The recent wave of bloodletting and killings in Nigeria has become a deeply troubling issue, capturing both national and international attention.

This spate of violence has affected various regions, with communities grappling with the loss of lives and the devastating impact of insecurity on their daily lives.

From rural villages to urban centers, fear and grief permeate the fabric of society.

The killings often stem from a complex web of factors, including ethnic tensions, resource conflicts, and political unrest. In some areas, clashes between herders and farmers over land and water resources have escalated into deadly confrontations, resulting in tragic losses.

The rise of banditry and extremist groups has only compounded the situation, leading to attacks on innocent civilians, abductions, and a pervasive sense of hopelessness.

Reflecting on the alarming decline of security in the nation, Enenche questioned what crimes Nigerians had committed to face such senseless violence and emphasized that the leaders’ silence has become more alarming than the violence itself.

He stated, “You have your farmland and some people come to uproot cassava to feed their animals, and you ask why? They waste your blood on your father’s land. What did we do in this country to warrant this?”

“Blood flowing like water in Plateau State, Benue State, and others.” Eneche said

“What evil did we do in this country that we have not had the solution to this matter?”

“When will we have people there that will have heart for people? That will sit up and make legislation. That will eliminate the wastage of blood in this land. Why is blood flowing like water? And nobody is saying anything?”According to Pastor Enenche

The pastor further recounted how a former security operative had recently confided in him about his fears of traveling to his hometown due to the rampant insecurity along major routes.

Many citizens express frustration at the perceived inaction of government officials and security forces, who seem unable or unwilling to effectively address the root causes of the violence or protect vulnerable communities.

The recurring nature of these incidents has eroded public trust in leadership and underscored the need for urgent and comprehensive strategies to restore security and peace.

Moreover, the impact of these killings extends beyond immediate loss; they create long-term trauma for survivors and disrupt social cohesion. Families are shattered, livelihoods are destroyed, and entire communities live in fear of further violence.

The silence or inadequate response from those in authority can exacerbate feelings of abandonment and helplessness among the populace.

Addressing this crisis requires not only stronger security measures but also a long-term commitment to dialogue, reconciliation, and community empowerment.

It is essential for the government to listen to the voices of affected citizens, to prioritize their safety, and to implement policies that address the underlying issues driving the violence.

Only through concerted efforts can Nigeria begin to heal from this cycle of bloodshed and build a more peaceful future.
