you want to repeat the same mistake today, tomorrow you make the same mistake and then you come out to say you were rigged out, who rigged you out? You’ve already rigged yourself by causing crisis

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has criticized Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, for leading a coalition that was detrimental to his party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in the run-up to the presidential election in 2027.

Wike stated that Atiku wanted to make the same mistake as before and then come out and allege that he was rigged out of the election.

This follows after Atiku criticized the governors of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who have rejected the idea of forming a coalition or merging with any other political party and declaration that coaliation train is unstoppable.

On X Atiku wrote, “Yesterday, I met with a delegation of two groups, during which I briefed them about the status of the pan-Nigerian coalition that I am building in conjunction with other leaders and stakeholders across political divides and regions.

“I informed them that the Nigerian Movement is being powered by Nigerians desirous of reclaiming and rebuilding their country from across the nooks and crannies of our country.

“Indeed, the Coalition Train has left the station and would have multiple stops to bring on board Nigerians of all shades.

“First was the meeting with a delegation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Nasarawa State, led by Alhaji Jibirin Sabo Keana. The second was a delegation of National Opinion leaders, led by Hon. Yusuf Sheriff Banki.”

Reacting on Friday, Wike criticised Atiku’s demand for a coalition. He said, “On the side of those seeking coalition is selfish interest, the likes of Atiku and other people. Which coalition with who? Why not come to your party?

“Everybody wants to be president of the country, no body wants to say let me build our party, so that at the end of the day, our party will be in a formidable position as an opposition party to take over power. You don’t do that, only what you want is let me find a way how I will be the one, if that does not happen, to your tents, O Isreal.

“You make the mistake yesterday, you want to repeat the same mistake today, tomorrow you make the same mistake and then you come out to say you were rigged out, who rigged you out? You’ve already rigged yourself by causing crisis.”
