Nigeria’s U20 squad, the Flying Eagles, will battle it out with Tunisia, Kenya, and Morocco in Group B of the 24th Africa U20 Cup of Nations, set for April 27 to May 18 in Egypt, following a redraw held Sunday at the Egypt Football Association headquarters.

Originally grouped with Egypt and South Africa before Cote d’Ivoire’s withdrawal as hosts, Nigeria now faces a challenging mix of two North African sides, Tunisia and Morocco, alongside East African outfit Kenya, as they vie for a quarter-final spot.

Host nation Egypt leads Group A, joined by Zambia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, and Tanzania, while defending champions Senegal headline Group C with Central African Republic, DR Congo, and Ghana.

Fresh off a three-week training camp in Katsina, the seven-time African champions are back in Abuja and will head to Egypt this week for an eight-day final preparation phase before the tournament kicks off.

The stakes are high, as the four semi-finalists will earn a ticket to represent Africa at the FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile from September 27 to October 19.
