A black Toyota Hilux Escort belonging to Nuhu Ribadu, the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), was stolen by daredevils during Friday’s Juma’at prayers.
The event took place during the day, and the FCT Police Command is currently conducting a thorough and rapid investigation.
While the ONSA officer was in a mosque nearby for prayers, the vehicle was parked across from the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) compound in Area 10. The official went to a neighboring mosque for prayers and came back to find the car gone.
In a tweet, security expert Zagazola Makama verified the theft of the vehicle and said that the Garki Police Division was notified about it at about 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
The FCT Police Command has verified that investigations are currently in progress and has initiated an extensive stop-and-search operation at all checkpoints and entry/exit points in the capital city to apprehend the perpetrators and retrieve the stolen car.
Concerns regarding safety have been raised among locals as a result of the fact that a burglar can have the courage to take property belonging to the Federal Government.
Nonetheless, the police response necessitated an endeavor to reestablish public trust as all available resources are being utilized to apprehend the fleeing individuals.
