Ibas announced administrators for each 23 local government areas in Rivers State
The selection of administrators for each of the 23 local government councils in the state was announced yesterday by Vice Admiral lbok-Ete Ibas, who is the sole administrator of Rivers.
Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RISIEC), Rivers State Local Government Service Commission (RLGSC), and Rivers State Civil Service Commission (RSCSC) were all reconstituted as a result of his efforts.
The names of the leaders of the news councils were included on a list that was made public by Professor Ibibia Worika, who is the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
The new leaders includes: Okroiyobi Animiete (Abua/Odual); Goodluck M. Ihenacho (Ahoada East); Promise Jacob (Ahoada West); Dr. Tamunotonye Peters (Akuku Toru); Atajit Francis (Andoni); Ibiapuve Charles (Asari Toru); Kingsley N. Banigo (Bonny); Dr Sokari Ibifuro Francis (Degema) and Dr. Gloria Obo Dibiah (Eleme).
Others are, Franklin P. Ajinwon (Emohua); Dr. Onyemachi S. Nwankwor (Etche); Prof Gospel G. Kpee (Gokana); Isaiah Christian Nobuawu (Ikwerre); Dr Barinedum Nwibere (Khana); Dr. Clifford Ndu Walter (Obio Akpor); Dr. Chukwuma Aje (Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni); Eliel Owubokiri (Ogu/Bolo); Thompson Isodiki (Okrika); Manager Ikechi Wala (Omuma); Fred Apiafi (Opobo /Nkoro); Eletuuo Ihianacho, Oyigbo; Dr. Sam Kalagbor (Port Harcourt) and Nuka O. S. Gbipah (Tai).
The newly formed RISIEC is chaired by Dr. Michael Odey. Joyce Akaninwor, Lezaasi Lenee Torbira, Chidi Halliday, Dr. Olive A. Bruce, and Godfrey Woke Mbgudiogha are among the other members.
Dr. Livinus Bariki was appointed Chairman of the RSCSC by the Administrator, according to a separate statement by Professor Worika.
Mrs. Charity Lloyd Harry, Mrs. Joy Obiaju, Amb. Lot Peter Egopija, and Mrs. Maeve Ere Bestman make up the commission. Linus Nwandem, Lady Christabel Ego George Didia, Dr. Tonye Willie D Pepple, Richard Ewoh, Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ofik, and Dr. Sammy Apiafi are members of the RLGSC, which is chaired by Mr. Israel Amadi.
The SSG announced in its remarks that all appointments were effective as from Monday.
