The Take It Back Movement (TIBM) organized protest under the famous Ikeja Under-Bridge.

Demonstrators flocked to the streets of Lagos on Monday, voicing their opposition to cybercrime and what they saw as the impending emergency rule in Rivers State.
The Take It Back Movement (TIBM) organized the protest, which began with a gathering under the famous Ikeja Under-Bridge.
Protesters march toward Alausa, following the National Coordinator Juwon Sanyaolu’s lead. From there, they will go to Ojota and Gani Fawehinmi Park, where Sanyaolu is anticipated to give a speech.
The demonstration was nonviolent even though there was heavy security in the neighborhood.
Following Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun’s call for the cancellation of the April 7, 2025, countrywide demonstration, this move occurs immediately afterward.
Police spokesman Muyiwa Adejobi said in a statement posted on Sunday that the demonstration was “ill-timed,” because it fell on the same day as the recently declared National Police Day.
“In line with global best practices in celebrating police institutions, the Nigerian Government has declared April 7 as National Police Day.
“The rationale behind staging a nationwide protest on the same day is questionable and perceived as a deliberate and unpatriotic act aimed at maligning the image of the Nigeria Police and the nation as a whole.
“The Nigeria Police Force hereby advises the organizers to shelve the planned protest.”
The Take It Back Movement, however, continued with their protest in Lagos, citing the right to peaceful assembly as their justification.
