President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent Abimbola Fashola warm birthday greetings
As Dame Emmanuella Abimbola Fashola, the former First Lady of Lagos State, celebrates her 60th birthday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent her warm birthday greetings.
President Tinubu praised Dame Fashola’s unwavering dedication to public service, education management, and advocacy on health and socio-economic concerns in a statement that was released on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. The statement was issued by President Tinubu.
She was praised by the President for her substantial involvement in spreading awareness and driving initiatives around children’s and women’s health, and the President referred to her as a woman of compassion and purpose.
As Chairperson of the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO), she promoted recreation centers and breast and cervical cancer screening and treatment.
Tinubu said, “Dame Fashola is devoted to her family, seeing it as a priority and a haven for growth and development. Her marriage, characterized by religious tolerance—she is a devout Christian and her husband a Muslim—is a powerful example of unity and understanding, crucial elements in nation-building.”
