In the midst of heavy security, drumming, and gunshots into the air by local hunters, the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde and Oba Abimbola Owoade, the Alaafin of Oyo, have arrived at Olivet Heights Baptist School, Oyo, for the coronation.
The duo arrived at the ceremony in a convoy of automobiles, with the new monarch seated in a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon.
At the occasion, Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, is representing President Bola Tinubu.
The event featured several dignitaries, including the Statistician General of the Federation and Chief Executive Officer of the National Bureau of Statistics, Prince Adeyemi Adeniran; the wife of the Oyo Governor, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde; Deputy Governor Bayo Lawal; Deputy Governor of Osun, Prince Kola Adewusi; the Chief of Staff to the Ondo Governor, Prince Olusegun Omojuwa, who represented the Governor; Oyo Speaker Adebo Ogundoyin; and Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, among other prominent government officials.
