Meanwhile Atiku’s outburst is a concerned reaction to the series of senseless killings in Nigeria as the the death toll from the recent attack in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State has risen to 50, with 40 additional bodies recovered on Wednesday and Thursday nights. Initially, a press statement signed by Farmasum Fuddang, chairman of Bokkos Cultural Development Council (BCDC), reported 10 fatalities across several communities, including Mangor Tamiso, Daffo, Manguna, Hurti, and Tadai. Again showing Tinubu weakness

In a telephone interview, Fuddang revealed that the community discovered more bodies, leading to the increased death toll. “We released the statement of the killing of the 10 people in the morning of Wednesday, from that morning we recovered 40 more bodies. We even buried them around 7pm on Thursday using torch light. It was the community that discovered the bodies of their loved ones,” he stated.

The Plateau State Government has condemned the attacks and urged calm, with a coordinated security response underway in affected areas. Commissioner for Information and Communication, Joyce Ramnap, expressed concern over renewed attacks, describing them as a setback to maintaining law and order.

Urgent Security Measures such as:

Deployment of security agencies to ensure normalcy returns

It is believed that arrests have been made to stem the situation

Strategic measures to enhance intelligence gathering, surveillance, and rapid response is important at this time.

Tensions have escalated in Plateau State following previous attacks, including a bloody assault on a majority Christian village during Christmas 2023 celebrations, resulting in approximately 200 fatalities, and another incident in May 2023 where around 40 people were killed and homes torched in Wase.

Residents are urged to exercise restraint and refrain from taking the law into their own hands.Support security efforts and utilize official channels for security concern and promote peace, unity, and lawful engagement
