Commuters and other road users scampered to safety while some courageous passerby by rushed to the scene to put out the fire and rescue the victim.
Surprisingly, officials of The Federal Road Safety Corps((FRSC) in a viral video were seen close to the scene watching helplessly as the fire rages.
Appeals and outcry from concerned responders to the FRSC apparently fell on deaf ears. The officers seem unprepared or untrained to contain such emergencies.
