Lagos State Police Command announced that its officers had successfully rescued two people who had been kidnapped
Two victims who were abducted by unidentified assailants in the Ijede community region of Lagos State have been rescued by the police.
On Sunday, the Lagos State Police Command made the announcement that its officers had successfully rescued two people who had been kidnapped and had begun a manhunt for the individuals who had kidnapped them.
CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, who serves as the command’s Public Relations Officer, has confirmed this information in a statement that was released.
It was reported by Hundeyin that the individuals who are suspected of kidnapping the victims did so on Wednesday in Ijede, which is located in the Ikorodu.
On March 29, the assailants broke into the neighborhood and entered the residence of a man named Dare, who was forty years old. Prior to kidnapping Dare, the assailants were responsible for the death of the security dog that he owned.
Following this, the assailants walked into an adjacent building, where they kidnapped the daughter of the landlord, who was 25 years old, and took her to a location that was unknown to them thereafter.
The police were notified, and they immediately started looking into the matter. Fortunately, on March 29, they were able to rescue the two victims without causing any injuries to them.
As of this moment, the victims have been returned to their respective families. The police are making efforts to apprehend the suspects who are wanted for questioning.
