In Anambra State, a banker known only as Ifeoma was allegedly murdered by suspected kidnappers following the payment of a ransom.
Although there are still many unanswered questions regarding the tragedy, it was learned that the deceased had been kidnapped in Onitsha.
Harrison Gwamnishi, a human rights activist, reported the occurrence on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, on Facebook.
He added that although the family paid the ransom demand, her kidnappers nevertheless killed her and left her body near Ideani intersection on Nnobi/Alor road.
“Lives are being taken daily and it’s sad nothing is being done to end all this k!llings. WHO IS NEXT? If we keep fold our hands and do nothing, it may get to you,” he added.
