The BetKing Wheelchair Basketball 3×3 National Open Championship is poised to light up the Lake Sports Centre in Ijeja, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on April 3-4, 2025.

Fueled by BetKing’s sponsorship, the event underscores the rapid rise of wheelchair basketball as one of Nigeria’s standout adaptive sports.

The Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball Federation (NWBF) President hailed BetKing’s steadfast backing in a pre-event statement, expressing deep appreciation for their role in elevating the sport. “On behalf of the federation, our board, and all stakeholders, I extend heartfelt thanks to BetKing” he said.

Highlighting the need for broader corporate engagement, the NWBF President urged other organizations to emulate BetKing’s commitment to para-sports, noting that such partnerships bolster the government’s push, led by the National Sports Commission (NSC), to overhaul and energize Nigerian athletics.

The championship doubles as a critical talent-scouting platform, with Nigeria setting its sights on the Commonwealth Games qualifiers in South Africa later this year.

Featuring top wheelchair basketball talents from across Nigeria, the BetKing Wheelchair Basketball 3×3 National Open Championship will spotlight skill, determination, and the power of inclusivity, celebrating the athletes’ inspiring pursuit of excellence on a national stage.
