Again, MTN Increases Data Prices

This is the second time that MTN has increased its data prices this year

MTN, the largest telecom operator in the country, has once again raised the costs of its data services. This is the second time that MTN has increased its data prices this year, following the approval of a fifty percent tariff rise by the Nigerian Communications Commission in January.

  • IREPORT247NEW reported the first data increment on February 11.
  • At the month of February 1,000 for 1.5GB per month was replaced by 1.8GB plan that costs N1,500
  • 15GB plan was raised from N4,500 to N6,500.
  • 20GB plan was raised from N5,500 to N7,500.
  • 600GB 90-day plan from N75,000 to N120,000.
  • 1.5 terabyte 90-day plan from N150,000 to N240,000.

However, there have been some adjustments made to the prices of data plans, which mostly affect a few of data plans, including the ones listed below:

N1,500 for 5GB per week has been replaced by 6GB plan that now costs N2,500

1GB plan was raised from N350 to N500.

1.5GB plan was raised from N400 to N600.

15GB bundle – Previously N6,000 has been replaced by 16.5GB for 6,500

250GB monthly data for N55,000.
