Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized his dedication to solving the severe shortage of teaching staff that exists in public schools throughout the state.

At the request of the State Universal Basic Education Board (ODSUBEB), the Governor of Ondo State, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has given his approval for the recruitment of 1,100 teachers. Having finished the recruitment process, the board has now given permission for this.

The state government recently hired 1,010 additional teachers for public secondary colleges and universities.

The most recent recruitment takes the overall number of newly hired teachers in the state to 2,110, according to a statement issued by Ebenezer Adeniyan, who serves as the Chief Press Secretary for the governor.

On behalf of the state, Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized his dedication to solving the severe shortage of teaching staff that exists in public schools across the state.

In response to the new information, the Executive Chairman of ODSUBEB, the Right Honourable Victor Olabimtan, expressed gratitude to the governor for authorising the recruitment.

He stated that the recruitment would help fill the void that educators’ retirement would cause. It was emphasised by Olabimtan that the recruitment of additional teachers would considerably increase the ratio of students to teachers in public elementary schools and would also improve the quality of education, particularly in places that are difficult to access and located in rural areas.

Furthermore, he lauded the administration of Aiyedatiwa for its tremendous accomplishments in the field of education.

Bolu Ajijo, who is the Director of Information and Public Relations at ODSUBEB, issued a statement in which he described the approval of the governor as a deliberate effort to fill important vacancies in public elementary schools across the state.

Ajijo also mentioned that information regarding the mechanism by which successful applicants can check their names and start the documentation process will be made public in the near future.
