The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has revealed new venues for two significant fixtures as the 2024/2025 NWFL Premiership prepares to resume on March 19 after a two-week hiatus, according to an official statement released on Monday.

The much-awaited second-round encounter between Ekiti Queens FC and Edo Queens FC, initially set to take place at Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado-Ekiti, will now be held at Ilorin Township Stadium. The switch comes as a result of ongoing renovations at Ekiti Queens’ home stadium. Fans can catch the action on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, starting at 3:00 PM.

In another development, Adamawa Queens FC will host their remaining home games at Makhwada Stadium in Numan, Adamawa State, beginning with the second half of the season. Their first match at the new location will see them face off against Rivers Angels on March 19.

Modupe Shabi, NWFL Chief Operating Officer, emphasized that these alterations were essential to maintain the integrity of the matches and ensure player safety. The league has notified all impacted clubs and relevant football associations of the changes.
