Breaking: Fear of Protest, MAPOLY Shutdown Academic Activities

The management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Abeokuta, Ogun State, have announced an indefinite shutdown of the Polytechnic in response to a call for protest by some dissatisfied students over result verification.

According to the report that several Polytechnic students who completed their National Diploma at another Polytechnic are having difficulty confirming their results.

The ensuing issue has raised worries among students, who have frequently experienced delays in the publication of their results, prompting a call to protest.

In a statement released on Monday, the institution’s Public Relations Officer, ‘yemi Ajibola, announced the indefinite shutdown.

He stated, “The authorities of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta have declared the closure of the polytechnic effective Monday, January 13, 2025, until further notice. “This is to guarantee the safety of lives and property in response to some students’ protests against the Management’s decision to verify their National Diploma results from their former schools.

“Management stated that it has zero tolerance for fraudulent results from any source. As a result, students are urged to stay away from campus in their interests. “Parents and the general public are assured of timely updates as events unfold.”
