The death of Maman Zainab, a woman who was 42 years old, occurred after she collapsed while attending a Ramadan tafsir session at a mosque in Gawu, which is located in the Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.

Ismail Bala, a local citizen, admitted to the event on Thursday, indicating that it took place on Tuesday at 11:23 a.m., while she was attending tafsir with other women. The Daily Trust provided this information.

In order to take part in the religious gathering, he reported that the dead came out of her home in good health, accompanied by three of her neighbors.

At the same time, she disclosed to a neighbor that she was suffering from a severe headache and dizziness when she was participating in the session. “She was about to stand up and leave the mosque when she collapsed,” Bala related the story.

Other women in the mosque hurried her to a hospital in Gawu Babangida as soon as they saw her, but the medical staff there confirmed that she had passed away upon arrival.

High blood pressure was determined to be the cause of death according to the physician who administered the examination. Bala went on to say that her remains had been interred in accordance with the rituals that are practiced in Islamic religion.

The worshippers quickly rushed Byezhe to a hospital in Kuje. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Medical personnel attributed the cause of death to high blood pressure.

A Son’s Loss
Byezhe’s son, who was present in the mosque, accompanied his father to the hospital, where the attending physician confirmed his death.
