The woman was confirmed dead by a team of UNILAG medical doctors in the presence of a police team from the Sabo Division
On the Third Mainland Bridge, a woman who has not yet been named has been found dead after jumping into the Lagos Lagoon.
Near the coastline of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), the sad incident took place at approximately four o’clock on Thursday afternoon.
It has been reported that the woman became submerged in the water, which prompted the Marine Police who were stationed in the area to respond promptly.
It was confirmed by the Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Lagos State Police, Chief Superintendent Benjamin Hundeyin, that the body of the woman was found near the UNILAG beach slipway by the Marine Police.
“She was confirmed dead by a team of UNILAG medical doctors in the presence of a police team from the Sabo Division.”
Following the protocols that are typically followed, the authorities have moved the body to the morgue that is located at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) in Yaba.
The identify of the woman and the circumstances surrounding the occurrence are still being investigated as part of the ongoing investigation.
