Adesogo Promise, a teenager, has been brought before an Iwaro Oka Magistrate Court for allegedly attacking Akomolafe Dickson, a corps member, and disturbing academic activities at St. Patrick’s College, Iwaro-Oka, which is located in the state of Ondo.

The court was informed by the prosecution, which was led by Inspector Kehinde Emmanuel, that the defendant had physically assaulted Akomolafe and struck him with blows.

In addition, the defendant was accused of impeding the lawful duty of a police officer named Constable Afolabi Samuel, who was carrying out an arrest on behalf of the Nigeria Police Divisional Headquarters, which is located in Iwaro Oka Akoko District.

The accused, who did not have legal representation during the proceedings, entered a plea of not guilty to the allegations. Magistrate B. I. Ikusika, who was presiding over the case, announced that the defendant would be placed under remand and that the proceedings would be postponed until April 16, 2025.

In a different case, Ruth Isaiku, a female corps member who was serving in the National Assembly, was also robbed and left by the side of the road after entering a cab that was driven by criminals in Abuja.

The incident took place in the evening of March 12th, 2025. An individual who lives in the Army Housing Estate in Kurudu saw her in the vicinity of Habiba Plaza in Maitama at approximately 7:40 p.m. and promptly reported the sighting to the authorities.

Isaiku had gotten into the cab from the Kubwa axis with the intention of going to Keffi, which is located in the state of Nasarawa. When she was traveling, the crooks inside the vehicle attacked her and stole an unspecified amount of money, forcing her to exit.

Security officials verified her condition as stable and transferred her to Maitama District Hospital for further care. Security officials have cautioned residents to exercise caution when using cabs and to report any activity that the authorities deem suspicious.
