Jumping from one court to another is all designed to distract the party leadership from focusing on their functions
Nasir El-Rufai, who served as the governor of Kaduna State before he resigned, has asserted that ‘the government of the day’ is responsible for the crises that opposition groups such as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), and others are currently experiencing. This was revealed by El-Rufai on Tuesday, during a visit to the national headquarters of the Social Democratic Party (SDP). This visit took place little under 72 hours after El-Rufai resigned from the All-Progressives Congress (APC), which was the ruling party, and joined the SDP.
El-Rufai stated that Tinubu sponsor crisis in opposition parties, fabricated divisions and factions within opposition groups in order to disrupt the opposition. He added that Tinubu government did this in an effort to prevent the opposition from functioning effectively
He said, “The crisis that is being faced in the Labour Party is contrived and funded by the government of the day.
“Everyone knows it. Jumping from one court to another is all designed to distract the party leadership from focusing on their functions. The same thing is happening in the PDP, even the NNPP has been targeted with distraction.
“There are people that have been resourced to go and cause problems in the NNPP. The last thing I read about NNPP was that one faction of the party has expelled Kwankwaso and the sitting governor.
“When you see things like that, you know it’s contrived crisis. Which party sacks a sitting governor? The only governor they have, you know it is contrived. I don’t have the details; I cannot mention names.”
IREPORT247NEW reported that El-Rufai, who was one of the founding members of the APC, which is currently in power, resigned and joined the opposition party on Monday.
In a statement that was released on Monday, El-Rufai announced his decision to defect from the APC. He stated that the events that have transpired over the past two years have confirmed that those who now govern and administer the APC do not wish to acknowledge, much less solve, the unhealthy condition that was occurring within the party.
