Chief Rasak Okoya, a business genius and the creator of the Eleganza conglomerate, has stated that he has never contemplated entering politics, despite his prominence and popularity.

The entrepreneur and philanthropist, who turned 85 on Sunday (today), said he is more interested in following God’s will than getting involved in politics. “As I always say, a good carpenter cannot sew clothes.” I’m a good industrialist. God has been quite helpful to me so far.

Despite the fact that certain politicians are good friends of mine, I am not particularly knowledgeable about politics. I am carrying out God’s will in the position he has assigned to me. I’m too busy running my factory to consider becoming involved in politics. “It never occurred to me,” he stated.

The millionaire industrialist was born in Lagos on January 12, 1940, to Tiamiyu Ayinde and Alhaja Idiatu Okoya. He attended Ansar-Un-Deen Primary School in Oke Popo. And from poor origins in the heart of Lagos Island (Epetedo region), he quickly shown his desire to become a businessman.

Today, his narrative will be remembered forever in this area of the world. At the age of 14, Okoya established his own firm after demonstrating excellent business acumen and a strong desire for achievement.

“Success and prosperity require honesty, attention, dedication, self-belief, and a strong enthusiasm for what you do. When I first started, I guarded my resources closely because I believed that as an industrialist, money would arrive in large quantities, and that if you were willing to invest the money back into that firm and not waste it, you would see results.

“I’ve been so busy with business, construction, and trade throughout my life that I didn’t have time for social life at first. And all of this has been sustained over the last six decades through commitment, hard effort, and God’s mercy. “I believe success isn’t elusive for those who dare,” he stated.

The Aare of Lagos, an enigma, lives in a world that shimmers with style as an industrialist and philanthropist. With him, the corporate world always seemed simple.
