CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, gave this information during a press briefing on Monday, March 10, 2025.

He stated that the couple kidnapped the victim while she was driving to the Iyana Ishashi part of the city to deliver a product.

The Online Vendor reported the incident on Sunday, March 9, and she described how the couple abused her, stripped her naked, and took images of her naked body.

According to him, the victim detailed the incident. Moreover, Hundeyin stated that the couple demanded a ransom of N2 million and threatened to disclose the photographs if she did not comply with their demands under any circumstances.

More information was provided by the police spokeswoman, who stated that the victim was able to pay N300,000 on the spot before she was permitted to regain her freedom.

In addition, the couple threatened to distribute the photographs if she did not pay the remaining sum.

Hundeyin stated, “The victim received a request for a product and proceeded to the customer’s house in Iyana Ishashi. Upon arrival, the door was opened, and she was forcibly dragged inside by a man and a woman.

“The suspects were later identified as Emmanuel and Mmesoma Okafor. After dragging her into the house, they stripped her naked, beat her up, took her nude picture and asked her to pay N2 million naira or they leak the picture.

“The suspects were tracked and arrested. They are currently in police custody as investigations continue.”
