Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has expressed his delight at playing alongside Spain international Alvaro Morata, hinting at a promising partnership with the former Real Madrid and Chelsea striker.
Osimhen’s comments came after Galatasaray’s hard-fought 2-1 victory over Alanyaspor on Sunday, where he scored the winning goal with a well-placed header. The strike brought his tally to 17 goals this season in the Super Lig, helping Galatasaray maintain their lead at the top of the table.
Speaking to Turkish media outlet Fanatik, Osimhen praised Morata’s experience and attacking prowess. “Playing with Morata was incredible. He is an experienced player with a great understanding of attacking play and a strong team mentality.”
Osimhen also expressed his excitement about their growing partnership, stating, “I’m very happy to play alongside him, and we hope to have a season where both of us score plenty of goals.”
Since Morata’s arrival at Galatasaray in January, he has made three league appearances, scoring one goal, while Osimhen has continued to impress with 17 goals and four assists in 21 games.
However, it remains to be seen whether both players will still be at Galatasaray next season, with Osimhen linked to high-profile moves to the Premier League.
