The Nigerian striker’s goal took his league tally to 17 goals and four assists, while Galatasaray maintained their seven-point lead at the top of the Turkish Super Lig table.
In England, Wilfred Ndidi played the entire 90 minutes for Leicester City but couldn’t prevent their 19th defeat of the season as they remain in the relegation zone. Ndidi has now made five starts for Leicester since recovering from an injury.
In Spain, Chrisantus Uche played 90 minutes for Getafe as they stunned Atletico Madrid 2-1. Uche has been a consistent performer for Getafe, missing only one match this season.
Other Nigerian players who featured for their teams in Europe include Anthony Dennis, who played 64 minutes for Goztepe in their 3-1 defeat to Sivasspor, and Edna Imade, who came on as a substitute for Granada in their 2-0 loss to Athletic Bilbao Women.
