Gunmen Assassinate Kwara Miyetti Allah Leader

The leader of Miyetti Allah was brutally murdered in front of his residence on Saturday night by a group of assailants who left him for dead.

The Special Assistant to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Inter-Community Relations, Fulani, Muhammed Abdullahi, confirmed the occurrence on Sunday morning.

It has been reported that Alhaji Idris Abubakar Sakaina, the leader of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria in Kwara State, has been killed by gunmen who have not been named.

According to reports, the incident took place on Saturday evening, after 10:00 p.m., when his assailants approached him and shot him to death in front of his apartment in Oke Ose, Ilorin.

It was reported by a source who spoke to Journalist that the individuals who carried out the shooting left him lying in the pool of his blood without taking anything from him. The source also stated that the reason for their actions was unexpected.

“I was with him 20 minutes before he was killed. Someone called me on phone and told me that he was shot dead,” a witness, Aina’u Sarki said

He stated that the leader of Miyetti Allah was brutally murdered in front of his residence on Saturday night by a group of assailants who left him for dead.

“We are preparing for his janaza as I speak to you now but the police were here yesterday and have started an investigation.

Ejire-Adeyemi Toun, the Public Relations Officer for the State Police, was contacted and stated that she would get back to the press. However, as of the time that this report was filed, she had not yet done so.

IREPORT247NEW reported on 5th of January that Alhaji Amadu Surajo, the Acting Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Katsina State, was slain by suspected terrorists late Saturday night when they attacked Mai Rana village in Kusada Local Government Area.

In addition, the assailants killed three more individuals, injured a number of others, and kidnapped Surajo’s first and second wives as well as one of his daughters, a college student.

According to reports, the first wife was later freed by the attackers.

After the association’s former Chairman and National Vice President, Munnir Lamido, vanished inexplicably in June of last year, Surajo—who had previously been MACBAN’s state secretary—was promoted to Acting Chairman.
