Students were warned on Saturday by the Nigerian Education Loan Fund not to submit their applications for student loans through phoney websites and portals.

Students should be wary of phoney websites that pose as the official website of the Fund, as the Fund has stated that it will continue to fulfil its commitment to ensuring that students who are eligible for student loans receive a loan.

Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, who is the Director of Corporate Communications at the Fund, issued a statement in which she provided the clear explanation.

“The Nigerian Education Loan Fund  wishes to reiterate that the only official portal for student loan applications is (www.nelf.gov.ng)(https://www.nelf.gov.ng).

“Students and the public are advised to disregard any other links, websites, or messages claiming to offer access to the NELFUND Student Loan Scheme. Any platform other than [www.nelf.gov.ng](https://www.nelf.gov.ng) is unauthorized and should not be trusted.
