Grammy-nominated Afrobeats musician Davido has revealed that his fifth studio album, 5ive, would be released on March 14, 2025. The statement was made on Saturday through a pre-save link provided on his social media accounts.

The post stated that “5ive is scheduled to be released on March 14.” This album represents a crucial milestone in Davido’s career, following the success of his previous releases, A Better Time (2020) and Timeless (2023).

The release of two songs from 5ive in 2024, “Awuke” featuring YG Marley and “Funds,” has heightened the expectation for the album. The latter features a sample from Brenda Fassie’s 1997 classic “Vuli Ndlela,” which combines traditional African influences with modern Afrobeat elements.

In December, the 32-year-old singer revealed his enthusiasm for the impending album, describing 5ive as a reflection of his journey and a highly personal body of music. “My people.” The trip will resume in 2025 with my new album, 5IVE. “This is straight from the heart—my story, my truth, and my growth,” he stated.

Davido (born David Adeleke) rose to stardom in 2012 with the breakthrough tune “Dami Duro” from his debut album Omo Baba Olowo. Since then, he has released several critically lauded albums, such as A Good Time (2019) and A Better Time (2020)

With an incredible collection of honors and a reputation as one of Africa’s top performers, Davido continues to push the boundaries of the worldwide music landscape.
