55 years old man was taken into custody over the murder of his girlfriend, Sarah Ndini, who was 28 years old.

In Seshego, Polokwane, South Africa, a man named Isaac Moeketsi Manonye, who is 55 years old, was taken into custody over the murder of his girlfriend, Sarah Ndini, who was 28 years old.

Friday, March 7, 2025 was the day that the accused made a brief appearance in the Seshego Magistrates’ Court. His bail application was not pursued further.

The deceased is said to have been in the company of a witness who was left at the gate of her homestead on March 5, 2025, at Seshego. The witness was present while the deceased (girlfriend) was entering the house.

On the other hand, just as the witness was ready to leave, she heard a noise coming from the house. She instantly requested assistance from the members of the community, who showed up at the house to provide assistance.

When the accused finally emerged from his home, he was covered in blood.

After that, members of the community went inside the house and discovered the deceased person suffering from several stab wounds.

They made a request for a car to transport her to the Seshego hospital, but she tragically passed away as a result of her injuries.

After the police were contacted, the individual who was accused was taken into custody. Because additional inquiries are required, the subject has been postponed until April 25th, 2025.

In the meantime, the African National Congress Women’s League (ANCWL) in the Peter Mokaba Region has issued a statement on Thursday demanding justice and condemning the murder of Sarah.

The statement reads, “The ANC Women’s League (ANCWL) in the Peter Mokaba Regional Task Team is deeply outraged and heartbroken by the tragic and senseless murder of Sarah Ndini, a resident of Seshego Ward 13 Peter Mokaba Region Extension 133.

“Sarah was brutally killed yesterday, allegedly at the hands of her partner, who has since fled.

“We condemn this heinous act in the strongest terms and call on law enforcement agencies to act swiftly to ensure that the perpetrator is apprehended and faces the full might of the law.

“Gender-based violence (GBV) continues to rob our society of innocent women, and we cannot remain silent while women are being slaughtered in their homes, the very places where they should feel safe.

“The ANCWL Peter Mokaba Regional Task Team sends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and community of Sarah Ndini. No family should ever have to endure such a loss.

“We stand in solidarity with all women who continue to suffer at the hands of abusive partners and reaffirm our commitment to fighting for justice and the protection of all women in our society.

“We call upon all sectors of society, government, law enforcement, community leaders, and civil society, to unite against gender-based violence. We must not only condemn these acts but actively work towards creating a society where women live free from fear.

“We urge anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspect to come forward and assist law enforcement in bringing him to justice. Enough is enough! Justice for Sarah Ndini!”
