The Batsari Local Government Area had been plagued by insecurity for years, with bandit attacks, kidnappings, and cattle rustling becoming commonplace. The community had lived in fear, with many residents forced to flee their homes to seek refuge in neighboring villages. The insecurity had also had a devastating impact on the local economy, with markets and businesses forced to close, and farmers unable to tend to their crops.

However, according to Yahuza Aminu, community leader of Wagini village, the security situation has significantly improved, with no bandit attacks recorded in the past five months. Residents are now able to go about their daily businesses without fear of attacks. Markets are operating full-time, and farmers are enjoying a bumper harvest. The improved security situation has also led to an increase in economic activities, with traders and farmers benefiting from the peaceful environment.

Normal life is gradually returning to the community, with residents rebuilding their homes and farms. The improved security situation has also led to an increase in social activities, with residents able to attend community events and celebrations without fear. The community is also witnessing a resurgence of cultural activities, with traditional music and dance performances making a comeback.

Residents are grateful to security operatives and the state government for their efforts in restoring peace to the area. Chairman of the shoe sellers association at Wagini market, Jamilu Sani, praised the security operatives and government, saying they can now buy and sell without fear of attacks. The community is also commending the state government for its efforts in providing support to victims of bandit attacks and for its initiatives aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region.
