Bodo/Glimt beats Olympiacos 3-1 in Conference Cup

Jostein Gundersen open the scoring just eight minutes into the match for the yellow Horde. the hosts quickly set about making it another magical night at the Aspmyra Stadion.

Olympiakos struggled against Bodo Glimt’s artificial pitch in Norway, suffering a disappointing defeat. While the Reds posed a threat in attack, they suffer defencesive lapses and A misstep by goalkeeper Kostantis Tzolakis resulted in an own goal, putting the Bodo ahead.

First Glimt’s top goalscorer spurned a great chance by blasting straight at Tzolakis, after an incredible 70-yard run from Fredrick Andre Bjorkan but five minutes later he would double his team’s lead.

Kasper Hogh increased Bodo lead some minutes to half time, and he later capped off his performance with a third goal shortly after the break.

The home team dominate the first half first,but they survived scares from Roman Yaremchuk as the Ukrainian was twice denied by Nikita Haikin.

As the first half drew to a close, Kjetil Knutsen’s side excelled, with Kasper Hogh being the centre of attention for both positive and negative reasons.

Jose Luis Mendilibar’s men showed some resistance, as they went in search of a goal that would give them hope for the return leg next week but the ended 3-0 in favour of the home side
