More than 10,000 farmers now have access to all the agricultural inputs they need to increase their food production, according to the Kogi State Government.

This was revealed by Kogi State Secretary to Government Dr. (Mr.) Folashade Ayo-Ade Arike on Thursday at Government House Lokoja during a ministerial briefing and leadership retreat with the theme “The Advanced New Direction: From Continuity and Consolidation to Strategic Development.”

The purpose of the gathering was to help Commissioners and Special Advisors increase their productivity in their various offices in accordance with the policies and programs of the current administration.

Over 10,000 farmers now have access to better seeds, fertilizer, and mechanized equipment thanks to the agricultural expansion project, she said.According to her, the endeavor has raised agricultural production by 25%, making Kogi state a major producer of rice and cassava, among other staple crops.

“The Kogi State Agro-Processing Centers have improved the value chain for local farmers by creating over 2,000 direct and indirect job opportunities,” she said.

Speaking further about the accomplishments of the administration led by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Dr. Arike stated that in less than a year in office, Governor Ododo has shown an unwavering dedication to the development and reform of Kogi state.

“The state is already on a fantastic trajectory of sustainable development because to his creative policies and effective execution. Governor Ododo has led to an extraordinary expansion in the agricultural industry.
