An arrest has been made in relation with the disappearance of a man 28 years old, Adedamola Olasunkanmi. The pastor of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) who is headquartered in Lagos has been named as Superintendent Evangelist Whepetoji Babaniyeh.

It was on January 16 that Ogunbode Kodri Adedamola Olasunkami was reported missing. As recounted by his girlfriend, he had contacted her to inform her that he was going to attend church.

After he failed to return, his girlfriend insisted that he had attended church as he had intended to do. The pastor of the congregation, Prophet Whepetoji Babaniyah, was taken into custody after the authorities conducted an investigation.

Ogunbode’s pastor initially denied any knowledge of his whereabouts and stated that he had not attended church on that particular day.

An additional investigation, on the other hand, uncovered the fact that Ogunbode’s account had been transferred to the pastor’s account on the same day: 1.5 million naira.

The account of the pastor’s son received yet another transfer of funds. The pastor was taken into custody by the authorities, and his associates were subsequently taken into custody.

During the confession, one of them admitted to having killed Ogunbode and removed certain parts of his body. PPL OKOMAIKO LAGOS was the location where the remaining body parts were buried.

The church was located in CCC ILERI OLUWA PARISH, LASU 2. Additionally, the authorities recovered other pieces of evidence, such as firearms, axes, and cutlasses, in addition to the buried bones.
