A woman named Revai Kweza, 45 years old and a self-proclaimed prophet Madzibaba Heavynisher, who is 19 years old, from Kwekwe in Zimbabwe have been detained following allegations that they fabricated a witchcraft event in order to increase the fame of the prophet.

Superintendent Emmanuel Mahoko, who serves as the spokesperson for the Midlands Provincial Police, has stated that Revai Kweza and Prophet Brighton Muroyi, who is also known as Madzibaba Heavynisher, have been taken into custody.

The two individuals are being charged with producing a public disturbance, according to him.

The self-proclaimed Prophet Brighton Muroyi, also known as Madzibaba Heavynisher, and a member of an Apostolic Faith Sect, as well as Revai Kweza, and hails from Mkoba 18, Gweru, have been taken into custody, according to him. Muroyi is also known as Madzibaba Heavynisher.

Kwekwe was the location where the incident occurred on February 17th. According to the findings of the investigation, Muroyi had engaged Kweza to bring about a fictitious supernatural occurrence at his shrine in the hopes of gaining attention and enhancing his reputation. For the purpose of pretending to be a trapped witch, Kweza was hired.

“On 17 February, at around 8 AM, Revai Kweza was found seated inside a locked and gated house in Mbizo 3, Kwekwe.

“The house is located near a Johane Masowe eChishanu Apostolic Faith Sect shrine. She was dressed in black skin-tight clothing, a black bra, and a black headscarf.”

Mahoko said, “During questioning, Kweza implicated Brighton Muroyi. It was later discovered that they had staged the entire event to increase Madzibaba Heavynisher’s popularity.”
