A devastating tragedy has struck a family in Edo State, Nigeria, as a husband, Kelvin Izekor, has been arrested for allegedly murdering his pregnant wife, Success Izekor, just eight months after their wedding.

In an exclusive interview, the victim’s elder sister, Ugiagbe Iziegbe, recounted the events leading up to her sister’s tragic death. According to Ugiagbe, Success was a kind and peaceful person who always avoided trouble. However, her husband, Kelvin, had a history of beating her, and the family had intervened on several occasions.

Ugiagbe revealed that Kelvin’s mother would often beg Success to return to her matrimonial home, promising that her son would change his ways. However, the abuse continued, and Success became increasingly isolated. Ugiagbe suspects that Kelvin’s mother may have been aware of her son’s violent tendencies and may have been complicit in covering up the abuse.

The Fateful NightOn the night of the murder, Success had called her sister, Ugiagbe, to report that Kelvin was beating her again. Ugiagbe advised her to come to her house, but Success said she would try to escape on her own. Tragically, Success was found dead the next day, with multiple stab wounds.

The family is demanding justice for Success and her unborn child. Ugiagbe has taken to social media to raise awareness about the case and to ensure that Kelvin is held accountable for his actions. The police have arrested Kelvin and are investigating the murder.

This tragic incident highlights the need for greater awareness and action to prevent domestic violence. The family and friends of Success Izekor are calling on the government and the public to take a stand against domestic violence and to ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.
