Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s plane has taken off from Poland and is currently flying through Europe toward the US, according to Ukrainian lawmaker Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
“An hour ago, the presidential plane departed from Poland and is now en route to the US via Europe,” Zheleznyak wrote on Telegram.
Before arriving in Washington, Zelenskyy will make a stop in Dublin to meet with Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin. This visit comes after Trump announced on Wednesday that Zelenskyy could visit the US on Friday, in an effort to bring a swift end to the over three-year-long Ukraine war.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Washington has not yet finalized a deal with Ukraine, and negotiations are still ongoing.
